Why book through Camping & Leisure Direct?  We offer access to the best value for money campsite holidays at almost 200 top quality 3, 4 and 5 star resort destinations throughout Europe. Many of the resorts we offer are located in the heart of the best known holiday regions of France, Italy and Spain.

Do you have a brochure? In order to keep costs to a minimum and because we are updating with new sites and information all the time we use a CMS driven web site. This ensures we are able to provide our customers with the most up to date information and advice without the restrictions of traditional printed matter.

Can I book my ferry or flights with you too?  We specialise in accommodation but are happy to offer advice on the best and cheapest travel options available. To enable our customers to save money we are happy to tell you where you’ll find all the best travel deals.

How much deposit do you charge?  We ask that you pay a deposit of 25% of your holiday cost at the time you reserve your holiday. This can be paid by debit or credit card over the phone or by cheque.

When is the balance payment due?  In most cases the balance payment is due 6 weeks before you arrive at your accommodation, we don’t believe in holding onto your money for many months like some companies. In some special cases such as accommodation near Disney it is necessary to pay the full cost at the time of reservation as these arrangements are non-cancellable.

Is my money secure? Like many Tour Operators offering accommodation in France, Italy & Spain (we do not sell ‘package holidays’ as defined by The Package Travel Regulations 1992) and are not required to be bonded. We do however pass this cost-saving onto you, our clients. In the unlikely event of our insolvency, if you pay by Credit Card your holiday cost, will be guaranteed (even if you only pay the deposit) under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. Payments by Visa and Mastercard debit or pre-paid cards are covered by the card issuers’ voluntary ‘Chargeback’ schemes which enable claims to be made within 120 days of the expected start date of the holiday. Do you charge extra for credit cards? Like most holiday companies we charge extra for credit card bookings, we recognise that many people like to benefit from the protection, security and free insurance that most credit cards offer unfortunately there is a cost to these benefits which we pass on of 2% of any amount paid. There are no extra charges for payment by debit card.

Are there any local charges to pay? All accommodation costs are fully inclusive of gas, water and electricity. Access to communal campsite facilities such as the pools, waterslides etc. is included. At most campsites there are a range of additional activities available which are charged locally such as tennis, horse riding and cycle hire. At all campsites a tax de sejour is applicable and is charged on all accommodation occupants over the age of 13 years typically this costs less than £10pw for the average family. We will always provide an exact cost for this at the time of booking.

When will I receive my accommodation voucher and travel details?  We will despatch your accommodation voucher at least two weeks before your arrival on site or in the case of late bookings by return. Included within your pack of information will be travel directions to your chosen campsite.

Whose accommodation do you sell?  We are partner selling agents for the market leader supplying this type of accommodation. They offer a choice of 6000 accommodation units at almost 200 different resorts destinations including France, Italy and Spain and have been providing continental campsite holidays for well over 30 years.

Why are you so much cheaper than the other operators?  The cornerstone of a family campsite holiday is the great value for money it offers. With our bulk buying we have been able to negotiate fantastic savings with our suppliers which we pass onto you the customer?

Do you have on site staff in resort?  All of our locations have staff exclusively looking after the accommodation we offer. When you arrive on site the campsite reception will direct you to your campsite courier reception.
